What substances do gas boilers rooms emit? Is there pollution?

2022-03-22      page view:

  Due to the advantages of high thermal efficiency and green environmental protection, gas-fired boilers currently occupy a high number of boiler companies. So are gas-fired boilers polluting? What substances are emitted by gas-fired boiler rooms?

  Is the gas boiler polluted?

  Gas-fired boilers have relatively few pollutants. Except for the presence of a small amount of sulfur or other components, carbon dioxide and water are produced when fully burned, which is much better than coal-fired and other environmental protection aspects. The specific types of pollutants are as follows:

  1. Carbon monoxide, gas will produce carbon monoxide when it cannot be fully burned.

  2. Sulfur dioxide, after entering the atmosphere, sulfur dioxide SO2 is oxidized to sulfuric acid (SO4) to form acid rain in the cloud, which is harmful to the environment.

  Boiler Air Pollutant Emission Standard GB 13271-2014

  This standard was first published in 1983, revised for the first time in 1991, revised for the second time in 1999 and 2001, and this time is the third revision. This standard will be revised in due course according to the national social and economic development and environmental protection requirements.

  The main contents of this revision:

  ——Increased emission limits for nitrogen oxides and mercury and their compounds from coal-fired boilers;

  ——Specify the special emission limits of air pollutants;

  ——Cancel the regulations on different emission limits according to functional areas and boiler capacity;

  ——Cancel the initial emission concentration limit of coal-fired boiler dust;

  ——Improved various pollutant emission control requirements. This standard is the basic requirement for boiler air pollutant emission control. Local provincial people's governments may formulate local pollutant discharge standards for air pollutant items that are not stipulated in this standard; for air pollutant projects that have been stipulated in this standard, they may formulate local pollutant discharge standards that are stricter than this standard. When the requirements of the environmental impact assessment document are stricter than this standard or local standard, it shall be implemented according to the approved environmental impact assessment document.

  New boilers have been in use since July 1, 2014, steam boilers above 10t/h and hot water boilers above 7MW are in use since October 1, 2015, steam boilers of 10t/h and below and steam boilers of 7MW and below are in use Hot water boilers will implement this standard from July 1, 2016, and the "Boiler Air Pollutant Emission Standard" (GB13271-2001) will be abolished from July 1, 2016. All localities can also implement this standard in advance with the approval of the provincial people's government according to local environmental protection needs and economic and technical conditions.
