Natural gas boilers are boiler equipment that uses natural gas as the main fuel. Compared with coal-fired and biomass boilers, the degree of environmental protection is very high. However, it cannot be ignored that there are still harmful substances such as sulfides and nitrogen oxides in the combustion exhaust gas of natural gas boilers, which need to be reasonably controlled.
Combustion principle of natural gas boiler
To know how to calculate the sulfur content of a natural gas boiler, you must first know the composition and chemical reaction of natural gas. Natural gas is composed of alkanes, the main component is methane, and a small amount of ethane, propane and butane, in addition to hydrogen sulfide, nitrogen and water vapor. The combustion formula is
CH4+2O2=CO2+2H2O
H2S+2O2=SO2+2H2O
N2+O2=NO2
Through the chemical reaction formula, we know that the combustion exhaust gas of natural gas boiler mainly contains carbon dioxide, water, carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, nitrogen monoxide, nitrogen dioxide and so on. Among them, sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, and smoke are the main pollution factors in the combustion exhaust gas of natural gas boilers, and they are important influencing factors of air pollution.
How to calculate the sulfur content of natural gas boilers
Before combustion, the country stipulates that the sulfur content of natural gas cannot exceed 0.01%. After combustion, the "Boiler Air Pollutant Emission Standard" stipulates that the sulfur dioxide of natural gas boilers shall not exceed 100mg/Nm3.
After combustion, how to calculate the sulfur content of natural gas boilers, according to the "Boiler Production and Emissions Calculation Coefficient Manual", boiler pollutant emission = pollutant production-pollutant removal = pollution production coefficient corresponding to the pollutant * product output (raw material Amount)-the amount of pollutants generated * average removal efficiency of treatment technology * actual operating rate of treatment facilities
Therefore, sulfur dioxide in natural gas-fired boilers = raw material consumption (kg/ten thousand cubic meters) * pollution coefficient (0.02S4), where sulfur content (S) refers to the sulfur content in the gas fuel, and the unit is mg/m³.
